Safeguarding

St Michael & All Angels is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Policy.

The safeguarding pages on the Blackburn diocese website contain vital links and information abdout safeguarding, including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed, or may be at risk of harm, please contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer: email: safeguarding@blackburn.anglican.org ; phone: 07711 485170

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children's or Adults' services.

St Michael's Safeguarding Officer is Cate Catmore: email: cate.catmore@gmail.com ; phone: 07935568476

All members of the PCC and leaders of our church organisations hold current certificates in respect of safeguarding.
